Came to this beautiful restaurant for brunch on Sunday and our food was amazing! I really wish we'd ordered the cinnamon rolls, but I got an omelet and my partner ordered the pork chilaquiles. It did that a very long time for our food to come, and our waitress did apologize after we'd waited for awhile, but it still took at least 15 minutes after she mentioned the kitchen was backed up for us to get our food. I'm not sure if our ticket got lost at first, but things happen and our food was worth the wait. Be sure to check out the alpacas after brunch!
I wished I lived closer for Tillie's amazing brunch!it is a bit far but the drive isn't too bad from Austin. The restaurant is in the beautiful Camp Lucy. The interior decor is like no other restaurant that I have been to. The brunch was delicious we made a mistake of ordering the cinnamon roll as a starter since it was listed as one. We felt like we're adults and can have dessert first if we wanted to! The issue is it's massive and will fill you up. For the entree we got the seafood Benedict and brisket hash both yummy but the hash was slightly better. The Benedict is more of a croquette rather than a traditional English muffin. The service was great and appreciate the small gesture to celebrate my wife's bday!
Beautiful location and unique ambiance define the dining experience here. The dining area looks like it was build off the structure of a temple- maybe relocated like the church at Camp Lucy? Ample parking, and lovely service. Food was good! We ordered the Halibut Seafood Benedict, Brisket Hash, and a cinnamon roll. Everything we tried exceeded expectations- highly recommend all three dishes.
While making reservations for my stay in Drippimg Springs, I asked about a good dinner spot with vegetarian options. I was told Tillie's, and I promptly made a reservation. I'm so glad I did. We arrived early, and they quickly sat us. I loved walking through the doors into the beautiful space. The building is spectacular. We had a wonderful waitress who paced out the meal and gave us time to eat and catch up. We ordered a nice bottle of Willamette pinot noir, and started out with the Brussels sprouts and the focaccia. Both were delicious. Loved the ricotta and the little mixers that came with the bread. My friend had the roasted cauliflower and I had the roast chicken. Both of us were actually silent while eating because it was so good. The chicken was cooked perfect. We shared the chocolate dessert and rolled out. So very happy. I'm telling everyone to go here.
Absolutely beautifully designed restaurant! Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. He explained that the decor was internationally inspired. The restaurant itself is designed after a Vietnamese temple and the doors are from India. So cool! We stopped in for afternoon tea, and loved our experience. Our favorite item on the high tea menu were the cucumber cream cheese puffs. The sweet treats were also an absolute delight! Good variety of teas on the menu, and we were able to sample a couple as each person can order a pot of tea. Expensive but worth it for the ambience and experience! Make sure to walk around the gorgeous grounds after enjoying your time at Tillies!
The reviews speak for themselves. Zoe and Grace were a perfect service duo. Great stories about the history of the building... a historical town hall imported from Vietnam, doors from India and a chandelier from the 15th century imported from Europe. Decorated with antiquities it felt like dinner in a museum. Starters were a good start (Burrata needed more beets-but delicious)! Entrees were absolutely delicious. Halibut and Pork Chop (recommended by server) hit it out of the park. Hard to choose a dessert. Come for the scenery, and amazing architecture, come back for the culinary arts.
The food was outstanding! The crisp baby romaine with green goddess dressing was the best I've ever had and it was so crisp and fresh. I followed that with Ranchers Chicken which was such a tender piece of chicken topped with salsa verde and chickpea stew. For dessert, I had the maple syrup crème brûlée and it did not disappoint! Every bite of every dish had incredible flavors. As for the service, I sat at the bar and the staff was so attentive, professional and friendly. The ambiance was spectacular! The architecture and design of Tillies made it such a unique experience! Front hostess area needs work...they were a bit disorganized. That is a nice place...we shouldn't have to repeat our last names. Then a second hostess appeared and the name process started all over again.
